Why isn't universal health care a basic right in the US?

Universal health care is a basic human right that is available in many other countries, yet the US has yet to adopt it. Despite the fact that all other developed nations have some form of universal health care, the US continues to rely heavily on private health insurance. This lack of universal health care presents a significant barrier to access to health care for many Americans, particularly those without the financial means to purchase private health insurance. It is time for the US to recognize that universal health care is a basic right, and to ensure that all citizens have access to the health care they need.
